Organizations (TenancyEngine)

Manage vendor customers of TenancyEngine — ISVs and operators who register applications and onboard tenants. This is not the internal tenancyengine operator org.

Console: TenancyEngine console → Organizations (/organizations)

Requires Organizations read (write to create organizations or assign plans).

What the table shows

Each row summarizes a vendor account: platform plan, application and tenant usage vs limits, and enabled capabilities from the entitlement.

New signups receive a starter trial automatically. Platform operators assign or change L0 plans from each organization's detail page.

Add an organization

  1. Click Add organization.
  2. Enter name and slug.
  3. Optionally provision an owner (email, password, display name) so the vendor can sign in immediately.

New organizations receive the default starter trial; assign a different L0 plan from the organization detail page if needed.

Organization detail

Click an organization name (or Entitlements on a row) to open its detail page with tabs:

  • Overview — account metadata, current plan summary, and usage counts.
  • Entitlements — view the active L0 platform plan, feature limits, and assign or change plans (requires Organizations write).
  • Custom domains — appears when the plan includes custom domains; configure verified hostnames (same panel as on the vendor Billing page).

Row actions navigate to these tabs — plan assignment and domain configuration are not modal dialogs.

Assign or change a plan

  1. Open the organization → Entitlements tab (or use Entitlements from the list).
  2. Review the current plan, status, effective dates, and feature table.
  3. Choose a platform plan from the dropdown and click Assign plan or Update plan.

Plan features enforce caps such as platform.apps.max and platform.tenants.max, plus capability flags (custom domains, etc.).

Custom domains

When entitled, open the Custom domains tab (or the row action when available). DNS verification and routing are managed in the panel; see platform hostname docs for infrastructure detail.

  • Billing — how vendors change their own plan (self-serve)
  • Applications — products registered under an organization
